Checking every scheme…

This is general education, not a decision or application. It is not a composite score and doesn’t add scheme amounts together — a loan guarantee, a shared-equity stake, a super release, a duty reduction and a grant are structurally different things. Confirm your actual eligibility with the relevant scheme or revenue office. Nothing you enter leaves your browser (Privacy).

Frequently asked

Am I eligible for the 5% Deposit Scheme?

It depends on your ownership history in the last 10 years, your age and residency, your deposit, and the property's postcode price cap — the price cap varies by location and has no single published figure, so this checker is honest about that leg rather than guessing. See the 5% Deposit Scheme guide and use the tool above for your own numbers.

Do I qualify for the First Home Owner Grant?

Every state and territory runs its own Grant with its own price cap, “new home” test and previous-ownership test — Victoria's, for example, turns on whether you or your partner have lived in an owned home for 6 months or more on or after 1 July 2000, not simply whether you've ever owned property. The checker above applies your state's own rules directly from Delora's True cost to buy engine, never a re-typed threshold.

Can I use more than one scheme on the same purchase?

Often yes — a federal scheme (the 5% Deposit Scheme, Help to Buy or the FHSSS) and your state's own duty exemption/concession and grant test eligibility separately, so qualifying for one doesn't guarantee or exclude another. This checker never adds their amounts into one total, because a loan guarantee, a shared-equity stake, a super release, a duty reduction and a cash grant aren't the same kind of thing.

Why does this checker say “depends” instead of a straight yes or no?

Only where no public, checkable figure exists: the 5% Deposit Scheme's and Help to Buy's property price caps vary by postcode with no static table published anywhere, and Help to Buy releases a limited number of places periodically. Guessing a number for either would be worse than naming the gap and linking Housing Australia's own current tool.
